Every product has a free tier so you can try it with your group before paying anything. Paid plans are billed annually by Direct Debit via GoCardless.

AI risk assessment suggestions are the one thing that needs a paid Camp Planner plan. Everything else in the risk assessment works on the free tier — the standard hazard library, editing, the Word and PDF exports, and the warning that an activity needs a separate assessment from a permit holder. That warning in particular is never behind the paywall.

Collecting camp or hall fees? That's included — there's nothing extra to buy. Money goes straight into your group's own bank account through your own GoCardless account, and we take a 1% platform fee from each payment collected. GoCardless charge their own transaction fee separately. Nothing is deducted from fees you record as paid by cash or bank transfer.

Where your data lives. Everything you put into Tools for Scouting — members, health and consent details, payments — is stored in the United Kingdom, in Supabase's London region. Not just the children's data: all of it. See our privacy notice for the full picture, including the parts that aren't in the UK.

Adding a product part-way through the year? You pay only the difference, and only for the time left until your renewal — so joining four months before it costs a third of the gap, not a whole year. Everything then renews together on the date you already had, on one payment, rather than collecting separate bills on whatever dates you happened to buy on.
