What you promised — the part that catches people out
Most people think of a grant as find, apply, receive. The part that actually bites comes after the money arrives: a date by which it has to be spent, a report the funder wants, photographs, evidence of what it achieved. Missing one of those can mean paying the grant back.
So each grant has a list of what you promised, with a date against each one. Add them straight off the offer letter while you have it open — most awards come with at least a spend-by date. The Obligations tab gathers them across every grant, overdue first, because that is the order they matter in.
We'll email a reminder while something is due within the next month, and keep reminding once a week while it's overdue — never more often than that, because a daily nag is how a reminder email becomes something you filter. Reminders go to owners, leaders and helpers; viewers aren't chased about things they can't mark done.
