What's on a report

Each young person's report starts on a new page and has up to four parts.

Badges earned, with the date each was awarded. A badge that's complete in OSM but not yet marked as presented says To be presented.

Working towards: every badge they've started, with a progress bar and only the requirements still left. Where a badge lets them choose (“any 2 of”), it says how many more and lists the options; where there are two routes through a badge, it says “Finish one of these”. A staged badge shows the next stage. County challenges, fun badges and older versions of badges they've started come last.

Whole time or this section. Choose Badges earned: Whole time (the default) to include what they earned in earlier sections, under Earned as a Beaver (or as a Squirrel, Cub or Scout), from the younger sections in your group that you can see in OSM. Or choose This section for just what they've earned since they joined it: staged badges and awards like Nights Away are shared across sections, so ones earned before they joined are left out.

Done so far. In Full wording, each badge they've started also lists what they've already done and, where a leader noted it in OSM, where: Raft (Rain Gutter Regatta).

At home. A small house beside a badge means your leaders have marked it in OSM as one a young person can work on at home, so parents know where they can help.

The Chief Scout's Award card also counts the activity and staged badges they've earned against the number the award asks for, because OSM doesn't tick that part for you.

Coming up in the programme. If a meeting later this term covers a requirement that's still to do, the report says when, for example Next: Tue 14 Nov, Hike prep. It comes from the badges you've added to meetings in your OSM programme. Events work the same way for the young people going or invited: At September Camp, Fri 25 Sept, with “you're invited” if they haven't said yes yet. If you connected OSM before these were added, the report asks you to connect again once.

Challenge Awards to start, with what each asks, since they lead to the Chief Scout's Award.

More badges to try: the Activity and Staged badges they haven't started yet. County challenges and fun badges aren't suggested here.
